The Tarka Trail follows 21 miles of disused railway line between Braunton and Meeth, and the trail provides safe, level and traffic-free riding.

Tarka Trail Cycle Hire centre is conveniently located beside Barnstaple Railway Station, with large, inexpensive parking and is the perfect start point for exploring North Devon by bike. We take great pride in looking after our hire fleet, and with an extensive range of over 130 cycles available, we have a bike to suit everyone. On our routes you will experience some of the best of the Tarka Trail and have the chance to explore the beautiful estuary of the rivers Taw and Torridge. En route to either Bideford or Braunton for refreshment, you can take in the countryside Devon is so famed for and enjoy a truly great day out!
