Carnivore experience up there with the best days of my life

On Thursday we finally got to use "My partners" Birthday Present that I bought "him" We Fed Cheetahs, A Wolf, Bush Dogs, Otters, Bat Eared Foxes, hid food for the Binturong (popcorn-scented tree ninja) and a Caracal, scattered catnip for Bagheera and FHU (which is an acronym, see if you can work it out) cuddle Dingos 😳 and so much more, I am not being dramatic when I say this might have been one of the best days of my life, ( my Partner also thouroughly enjoyed "his" present 😂😂) the sun was shining and it was so good to get away from it all for a few hours and do something so incredible.

Excellent Zoo

Came to exmoor zoo whilst on a weekend away to Barnstaple, very well kept zoo, you can see they look after the animals very well, sat in on one of the animal encounter talks and the keeper was very funny and informative! He even asked where people came from and gave a little knowledge from their area! We spent about 5hrs there and it is well worth the entrance fee! People have to remember that the entrance fee goes towards upkeep and the keepers wages so they probably don't make much of a profit! The cafe is nice also, the prices are what you'd expect from a zoo cafe, so if you want to make the day cheaper then bring your own picnic, they have area's assigned for that!

Lovely Place to Visit!

Lovely place to visit and an excellent day out even in February. The staff are very passionate about their jobs and very informative. The Children got to interact with a tarantula , stick insects and a praying mantis . The highlight for me was the black leopard she’s absolutely beautiful and likes to jump up at the window and interact . The story of the lone wolf losing his brother is sad but as the zoo clearly states they are keeping an eye on his wellbeing, and it’s impossible to integrate him with another wolf at his age and the fact he’s been hand reared makes it harder and he would most likely be dominated , I think it’s great they explain this . We will definitely visit again next time we holiday in the area .

Best zoo

One of my favourite zoos. Even though it was a cold February day we still managed to see most of the animals, including the clouded leopard, which was the one we were wanted to see the most. The red pandas and otters were highly entertaining and became a firm favourite for my daughter and her friend. We did both animal encounters and a couple of the talks, which were fun and informative. Its also not so big that you can't get round it all or feel exhausted at the end. The cafe food was really tasty and reasonably priced. And finally all the staff were super friendly. A+

The Best Zoo in Britain

This zoo is honestly the best zoo I have been to in years, the variety of unusual and rare animals made it so interesting that we stayed all day. (We had intended to only stay for the morning) The beautiful black leopard was a highlight for me, we enjoyed listening to her keeper talk about the myths and legends surrounding the black cats. The cafe is nice, we had paninis, they came out fast despite the café being full. I would 100% recommend this zoo to any animal and nature fan.
