Jagster: The Award-Winning One-of-a-Kind Slingshot Dragster

Constructed from the ground up, this vehicle utilizes a 1987 Jaguar XJS 5.3 V12 as the source for its engine, transmission, rear axle, and gauges. The majority of the remaining components are from Ford, integrated into a custom-designed space frame crafted around these parts. This structure was made using 54mm tubing, along with wooden plugs attached to the frame, which served as the base for creating the fiberglass molds for the vehicle’s body.

After successfully passing the IVA examination in 2019, the proud owner boasts that it is the sole British-registered, two-seater slingshot dragster-style car on the streets—unless, of course, another one is spotted in an Aldi parking lot.

As a testament to its uniqueness, the vehicle earned the title of the Lyn Valley Classic 2022 committee’s choice, garnering the highest number of votes from committee members and becoming the overall favorite at the show.
