A Lynmouth Walk: Woodside Bridge Circular Stroll

An easy walk along both sides of the East Lyn River. It’s a perfect gentle stroll for any time of day.

Starting at the May Bridge, near Rock House, walk from Lynmouth towards Watersmeet along Torrs Road, but cross Woodside Bridge before just after leaving the end of the road.

Don’t cross the first ‘white metal bridge’, near Lorna Doone Guest House, walk past this to the first wooden bridge. Cross the bridge and turn right when leaving the bridge and follow the path back to Lynmouth.

Consider stopping at Middleham Gardens on the way back, it’s a lovely spot to sit and relax, or even enjoy a picnic. Walk back to Lynmouth along the East Lyn River back to where you started your walk.

NOTE: Please note that the path on the Watersmeet Road side of the East Lyn River is quite narrow, please take care.
