West Lyn Farm, is a traditional 300 year old Exmoor farmhouse offering both Bed & Breakfast and a self-catering Shepherds Hut. Situated on the stunning North Devon coast, within Exmoor National Park and just a few minutes drive from the delightful twin towns of Lynton and Lynmouth.
Offering two luxury B&B rooms and one luxury self catering Shepherds Hut, West Lyn Farm is the ideal peaceful location with beautiful views out to the Bristol Channel and on a clear day views to the Gower Peninsula and the South Wales coastline.
We are dog friendly so it’s the perfect base for a holiday with your four-legged friend, at £10 per night, maximum 1 dog.
While the farm track outside the property is also a public footpath leading to both Lynton and Lynmouth, the Two Moors Way and beyond.
Please note that all guests must be aged 14 or over.

Our guests have use of the Gin Terrace! A large decked area with glorious views, comfortable seating, and an outdoor table and benches should you choose to bring back a takeaway for al fresco dining.
The Sea Shack - Shepherd's Hut
Fancy a stay in a luxury Shepherd Hut? Then the Sea Shack is the place for you! This shepherd’s hut has a fully plumbed in bathroom, mini kitchen, seating area, wood burner and fold-down double bed. Private enclosed garden with fire pit, wood fired outside bath and parking area. It enjoys some of the best views on the farm of the beautiful North Devon coastline and – on a clear day – Wales!

What we liked most was Astley's hospitality. Always up for a chat and lots of good suggestions. She is a fantastic person. Because of the nice weather we were able to use the fantastic terrace with sea view all four days.

From the moment my husband and I arrived at The Sea Shack Shepherds huts we knew it was going to be a special stay. The sea views are amazing and the Sea Shack itself is just perfect. Everything has been done to a very high standard and has all you need and more for a really comfortable stay. The highlight was the outdoor bath and fire pit! Our host Astley was so helpful in suggesting walks and pub lunches too.

We just returned from spending a couple of days at West Lyn Farm B&B, with our dog, where we had the most wonderful time. It felt more like staying with a good friend, Astley was so welcoming, and informative about the area. We will definitely be staying again.

"The perfect English B&B"
For two Australians West Lyn Farm was the perfect English B&B to stay in. The history, nooks and crannies of a 300 yr old farm house were charming. Classic views of rolling English countryside with the sea beyond. Easy parking and we are already missing the cook breakfasts. We will be back just not sure when its along way from Sydney!
A Magical Weekend
We arrived and the weather wasn’t great but it was so lovely and cosy in The Sea Shack that we soon settled in. The quality of the finishes and the bed are exceptional. We were lucky to get some rays of sunshine over the weekend which meant I managed to make use of the AMAZING outdoor bath! Sipping a glass of champagne in this beautiful bath looking over that view was a magical moment!WEST Lyn FARM House journal
