A short circular walk starting in Lynmouth through the Watersmeet Gorge then return along the ridge to return via Sparrows Path.
This walk starts, and finishes, in Lynmouth at the Woodside Bridge, which is the start of the main walk to Watersmeet.
Follow the main trail to the Watersmeet Lodge, its a beautiful riverside walk through the Watersmeet Gorge.
The walk up Trilly Ridge towards Countisbury Hill is hard going but it is SO worth it when you get to the top. When you reach the bench, at the Crosspaths, take the left along Winstons Path towards Lynmouth, around South Hill towards the A39.
Follow this path until you reach the Dew Pond on the very edge of the A39, at the tip of Chiselcombe. If you were planning refreshment stop, a detour to the Blue Ball Inn would be a great idea at this point.
At the Dew Pond, keep left and take the grassy path on the opposite side of Winstons Path / Chiselcombe, through the gate then through Wester Wood, then on to Sparrows Path. This path will zig zag down to Woodside Bridge where you started the walk.
