Absolutely delicious traditional Indian food! Ilona was so professional and made the experience of buying her home-cooked curries extra special! We were visiting Devon on a holiday and discovered The Spicy Mare in Lynton. We brought some food to heat up that evening, and it was so tasty that we quickly returned the following day to stock up on jars of curry and homemade chutneys to have at home! I was so pleased to find this gem of a place whilst visiting for a few days. The curries were delicious (vegan friendly) and the perfect amount for a solo traveller to take away in a box and eat immediately with a view of the sea. Ilona catered for our family wedding celebration, the most delicious menu to cater for our vegan, vegetarian, and meat-eating gathering—absolutely gorgeous lamb curry, alongside an equally tasty vegan curry and dahl, mango chutney, raita, kachumber, naan, and poppadoms, followed by scrummy vegan sweet treats. From start to finish, Ilona was so enthusiastic and helpful, making it so easy for us, cooking and delivering us food that looked and tasted great, and that everyone so enjoyed.
