Overlooking the harbour in the picturesque village of Lynmouth, The Ancient Mariner has been named after the famous Coleridge poem ‘The Rime of the Ancient Mariner’. Lynmouth is the final stop on the Coleridge Way, a 51 mile walk through stunningly beautiful scenery over Exmoor.
The bar has been owned by the same family for 65 years and has now been transformed into a truly individual place to eat, drink and relax with friends & family while watching the tide ebb and flow.
Jo, our head chef, has created a freshly prepared menu using local & seasonal ingredients, provided by only the best suppliers in the area. With daily specials there is always a new dish to try. Whether you want a light bite, three course meal or just to indulge in homemade oven warmed scones with local clotted cream and homemade jam, we can cater for you and your family.
