Station Tea Rooms at Woody Bay

Tucked beside the beautifully restored Woody Bay Station, the Station Tea Rooms offer a relaxed and welcoming spot to pause during your visit to the Lynton & Barnstaple Railway.

Inside, you’ll find a tempting selection of home-made cakes, hot pasties, and golden sausage rolls, all freshly prepared in the cosy on-site kitchen. Of course, no visit would be complete without a traditional Devon cream tea, served with warm scones, rich clotted cream, and sweet strawberry jam — a proper taste of the South West.

The team proudly sources ingredients from local producers across North Devon and Exmoor, keeping everything fresh, seasonal, and full of flavour. Whether you’re visiting after a steam train ride, arriving from a nearby coastal walk, or simply in search of a peaceful place to sit and sip tea, this quiet countryside café is a real hidden gem.

There’s plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, with a picnic garden beside the station. Dogs are welcome, and the team is happy to provide group catering or private hire for small celebrations, with advance booking.
