St. Vincent Guest House

Market Street, Lynton Devon EX35 6AF | 01598 752 720 | Website

Spend a relaxing and peaceful break at St. Vincent Guest House in the heart of the Exmoor National Park, in Lynton & Lynmouth.

We are just two minutes away from the South West Coast Path, the Coleridge Way and the Tarka Trail (cycle and walking). We also have free fibre optic broadband.

Completed in 1834 in the oldest part of Lynton, this beautiful Georgian house was originally called St Vincent Villa and was a modest family home, built by master mariner Thomas Geen who named the house after his ship.

Many of the original characteristics are still present including the central feature of the house – the impressive regency staircase, beautiful open fireplaces, the servants’ garret rooms at the top of the house, flagstone and wooden floors, meat hooks hanging from the pantry ceiling, the outbuildings and the original iron railings at the front and back, which seemed to have escaped the call in the First and Second World Wars for iron for munitions.

Packed lunches are available for walkers or those are making an early start at a cost of £7 per person.

Dogs are welcome at St. Vincent at a cost of £5 per night, per dog. Please note there will be an additional charge for any mess/damage, equivalent to the cost of the room for the entire time the room is out of commission.
