We put our own twist on classic café favourites. Alongside a selection of fresh bagels, you’ll now find our North Coast Club Sandwich — stacked, hearty, and already a firm favourite with locals and visitors. Our salmon and cream cheese bagel remains a bestseller, and our crispy bacon and scrambled egg bagels are perfect for a lazy morning treat.
Wash down our delicious savoury and sweet treats with a delicious artisan coffee, lovingly hand-roasted in Devon by Voyager Coffee, or a refreshing breakfast tea or a herbal blend of unique ingredients.

At North Coast Café, our speciality scones have become something of a pilgrimage. Word has travelled far beyond Lynton, and it’s not unusual for visitors to plan their day — or even their holiday — around seeing what flavours are fresh from the oven.
Every scone is handmade right here in our kitchen, using generous ingredients and recipes that lean into comfort and nostalgia. Alongside the classics, you’ll find flavours like apple crumble, cherry & almond, coffee & walnut, ginger and lemon curd, and our soft spiced fruit scone.

Building the North Coast Café
After running Highcliffe House for five years, we found ourselves craving a new kind of Exmoor adventure — something more hands-on, more creative, and rooted in everyday pleasure. That idea became North Coast Café: a place built around good food, great coffee, and the simple joy of slowing down.
We chose Queen Street for its heartbeat — right in the middle of Lynton’s Old Town — and shaped the café to feel relaxed but confident: warm colours, easy energy, and a laid-back soundtrack that tells you to take your time.
Whether you’re here with friends, walking the dog, or ducking in from the weather, North Coast Café is designed to give you space to breathe and enjoy food that’s made with care.
