A Lynmouth Walk: Watersmeet & Chiselcombe Circular
A short circular walk to from Watersmeet to Lynmouth via Chiselcombe, Beacon Tor and back along the South West Coast Path to Lynmouth.

This walk starts in Lynmouth and follows the river path to Watersmeet, which is always a delight. From Watersmeet set off back towards Lynmouth but follow the signs for Chiselcombe / Countisbury.
The walk up Chiselcombe towards Countisbury is quite a hard push but the views you get over the East Lyn & Hoar Oak valleys from the top make it well worth the effort.
Follow Sparrow’s Path though Wester Wood to Beacon Tor.
When you reach Beacon Tor, take the little diversion from the path heading down towards Lynmouth to take time & sit on the rocks looking out towards Foreland Point.
On a warm, still day that view just can’t be beaten and, if you’re lucky, you’ll see Peregrine Falcons below you, patrolling along the cliffs.
From Beacon Tor, follow the path towards the coast and the A39, cross the road and pick up the South West Coast Path downwards towards Lynmouth.
