Two Moors Way – A 50th Anniversary Walk is a full-day guided walk from Lynmouth marking 50 years of one of the region’s best-known long-distance routes. Organised by Exmoor National Park, the event follows an 11-mile circuit through some of the area’s most distinctive coastal and inland landscapes.

Starting from Lynmouth at 10am, the walk takes in the Valley of Rocks, Six Acre Cross, New Mill, Manor Farm, Sparhanger Cross and Cheriton before returning via the Two Moors Way, Smallcombe Bridge, Hillsford Bridge, Myrtleberry Cleave and Lyn Cleave. It offers a good chance to experience both the dramatic coast and the quieter folds of Exmoor in a single day on foot.

What to expect

Expect a longer day of walking with varied Exmoor scenery, from open coastal stretches to combes, tracks and river valley sections inland. As a 50th anniversary event, it is as much about celebrating the route itself as enjoying the landscape along the way.

Good to know

  • The walk runs from 10:00am to 4:00pm on 28 March 2026.
  • This is an 11-mile route, so it is worth checking the organiser’s page in advance for any booking, route or suitability details.

Two Moors Way – A 50th Anniversary Walk also makes a strong addition to a day in Lynmouth, especially if you are already exploring the Valley of Rocks, local walking routes and the wider Exmoor coast.
