What better way to celebrate Christmas than slogging up lots of hills! A picturesque and varied walk through wooded river valleys and hills, enjoying beautiful river, countryside and coastal views and stunning autumnal colours. Starting at Lynton and then climbing Hollerday Hill before descending into the pretty village of Lynmouth and taking the Two Moors Way to reach Hillsford Bridge. Then following the river past Hoaroak Water to Watermeet, then climbing to reach Countisbury Hill before returning to Lynmouth along the coast path and then taking footpaths to climb to Lynton and return to the car park.
Meet at Lynton Bottom Meadow car park at 10am.

Grade: Challenging
Terrain: Coast path, woodland footpaths, and riverside trails. Some slippery and muddy stretches in wet weather. Many stretches of very steep ascent/ descent. Footpaths rocky in places and close to river’s edge.
Toilets: Lynton Bottom Meadow Car Park, Lynmouth Flood Memorial Hall, Lynmouth National Park Centre and Watersmeet House.
Parking: Lynton Bottom Meadow Car Park, Castle Hill £1.30/ hour
Please wear weather/ ground conditions appropriate clothing/ footwear and bring a packed lunch/ snacks/ drinks.
