Lynton’s Christmas Window Competition

1. The Best Dressed Christmas Window Competition will officially launch on Sunday, 1st December. Participants are encouraged to decorate their windows in a festive theme, with photos of their windows being shared online for public judging.

2. How to Enter

   All businesses in Lynton are eligible to participate. Participants must have their windows decorated and ready by 1st December to be eligible for the competition.

Public voting will commence on these social media platforms and will run throughout the week. Participants are encouraged to share and promote their windows to gather votes.

1. Winner Announcement
   The window with the most public votes by the end of the judging period will be declared the winner. The winner will be announced on social media (exact date and time to be determined) via the following Facebook pages …

2. Prize
   The winner will receive the coveted Best Dressed Window Trophy, along with recognition on social media and the community.

3. Important Dates

   – Competition Launch: Sunday, 1st December

   – Window Photos Posted for Voting: Monday, 2nd December

   – Voting Period: 2nd – 9th December

   – Winner Announcement: To be confirmed on social media.

4. Eligibility
   The competition is open to all businesses within Lynton. There are no entry fees.

5. Voting

   – The voting will be conducted through the Lyn Valley News, Lynton & Lynmouth and the Christmas in the Lyn Valley Facebook Pages.

   – Only votes cast on the official Facebook posts will be counted.

6. General Terms

   – The organiser reserves the right to disqualify any participant found to be using unfair voting practices or violating the competition rules.

   – By entering the competition, participants consent to their window photos being shared on social media for public viewing and judging.

   – The decision of the organisers is final and binding.
