Sinai House

Lynway, Lynton Devon EX35 6AX | 01598 753 227 | Website

Sinai House, in Lynton, was built in 1850 as a gentleman’s residence, for the Lord Mayor of London. It became a hotel in the 1930’s and a guest house in the 1960’s.

The house is built into the hillside of Sinai Hill so offers the most incredible sea views over to the coast of Wales and across to Exmoor, Countisbury Hill and Big Red, but is also ideally located close to the town centre. Owners Victor and Alison purchased this dream Exmoor home-from-home in December 2016.

Sinai House has 8 luxury rooms. The guest lounge is quiet and relaxing overlooking the sea from both windows, with a swap library, games, large comfy chairs and sofas where you can meet friends and hopefully make new ones! Breakfast is served in the Dining room with sea views and eating on the balcony is possible in summer.

The bar is very well stocked with local ales, ciders and a selection of wines. Off the lounge and dining room is a large balcony where guests can sit out with a coffee or a jug of Pimms.
