Autumn in Exmoor

Enjoy A Beautiful Autumn in Lynton & Lynmouth

experience Exmoor ablaze with autumn colour

Exmoor really is a place for all seasons but Autumn is probably our favourite time of the year.

When most of the summer tourists have gone, Exmoor brings out its best colours; a medley of golden browns, warm oranges, rusty reds and velvety greens.  It really is the highlight of the Exmoor year.

What we love most about Lynton & Lynmouth in the Autumn is how the trees give up the incredible views they’ve been hiding since the Spring.  Views that were once veiled by the leaves of Summer offer the walker a completely different perspective of this magical corner of North Devon and West Somerset.

autumn activities

If you tend to avoid Britain’s tourist hot spots during the Summer months, you will love Exmoor in the Autumn. Peace and quiet falls across our coastland, moorland, valleys and combes. It’s the perfect time for walkers, explorers, thrill-seekers and solivagants to enjoy the best of the Exmoor National Park.

Get to enjoy everything Lynton & Lynmouth has to offer, but without the long queues and Summer hustle and bustle. Enjoy as many rides on the Lynton & Lynmouth Cliff Railway and Steam Trains at Woody Bay as you would like.
