SUMMARY:Rock pooling with Exmoor Rangers in Lynmouth
DESCRIPTION:Rock pooling with Exmoor Rangers in Lynmouth\nRock pooling is a hands-on coastal activity for curious children\, families and anyone who wants to take a closer look at life on the shoreline. Set against the rocky edge of Lynmouth\, these guided sessions explore the pools\, crevices and sea-washed edges where crabs\, anemones\, chitons and other small creatures can be found. \nLed by Exmoor National Park Rangers\, the event offers a simple\, practical introduction to the wildlife that lives between land and sea. It is a chance to slow down\, look properly\, and discover how much is happening in places that many people walk past without noticing. For visitors spending time in Lynmouth\, it is a good fit for families\, nature lovers and anyone looking for something active but not overcomplicated. \nConditions on the shoreline can change quickly\, so it is worth dressing for the weather and wearing footwear suitable for wet\, uneven rocks. Water shoes or sturdy wellies are encouraged. Nets\, buckets and guidance are provided on the day. \nAttendance is free. \nIf you would like to support this kind of work\, donations to CareMoor can be made at Lynmouth National Park Centre opposite. \nFor enquiries\, contact 07970 099116 or email cwray@exmoor-nationalpark.gov.uk

SUMMARY:Pleasure Dome Theatre presents The Signalman
DESCRIPTION:This year\, Pleasure Dome celebrates ten years at the Valley of Rocks with a return to our supernatural origins and a haunting production of Charles Dickens’ The Signalman adapted by Jonathan Holloway and directed by Scott Le Crass. We are proud to be creating this production in partnership with the brilliant Landmark Theatre who have continuously championed and supported our work. Exploring themes of mental health and rural isolation\, this South West retelling\, drawing on the impact of the Beeching cuts\, pulls into the Valley of Rocks this July before steaming across the South West visiting a choice selection of Heritage Railways\, Museums and Arts Venues. Keep your eyes peeled for returning familiar faces and some star castings\, all delighted to be joining our creative family and fantastic community performers to bring this story to life. All Aboard!
