Visit Lynton & Lynmouth

Lynton & Lynmouth Food & Drink 2022

Celebrating the incredible array of places to eat, drink and local produce on offer in the Lyn Valley Area

Lynton & Lynmouth Food & Drink 2022

Over the last 5 years we’ve produced a simple folded leaflet to promote our local places to eat and drink.

It offered our visitors a range of straightforward adverts and locations of local places to eat and drink.

Whilst is was a successful and practical guide to eating and drinking, it didn’t really celebrate just how many incredible incredible places to eat and drink there are.

With your help … we can do even better

Help us launch a new glossy booklet that celebrates our exceptional places to eat and drink, and the unique local produce available in the Lyn Valley Area.

There are several promotional programs and booklets that circulate around North Devon, West Somerset and Exmoor – but none that focus on our little corner. So, this is an early concept at this stage, and needs your love and support to help get it off the ground.

Take a look at the first concept in the PDF below, if the PDF doesn’t load in the window below, you can view the PDF here.

If your business is featured in the PDF booklet above, it’s because you were in last years version.  Your advert has been used to create the concept only.  It doesn’t mean we’ve assumed you will advertise, it also doesn’t confirm or commit you to any sizes, locations or design.

There is much work to be done.

It would be great to think you could find it in your hearts, and budgets, to give this new format a try. Maybe consider increasing the size of your advert and adding some enticing food photos and remove the building photo, or add more words or bullet points.

Advertising Tariff

The booklet will be A5 in size with full colour print throughout.  We intend to print 5,000 to be distributed to local hotels, B&B’s, caravan and campsites, visitor information centres and other hotspots throughout the northern part of North Devon & Exmoor, and also the Lynton & Lynmouth area.  It is likely we will use Make Waves or Publicity South West to get this distributed to select areas only.

Should you wish to be involved, here is the advertising tariff to help determine your preferred advert size and location.

Visit Lynton & Lynmouth is not about profit, so we have endeavoured to keep the costs as low as possible. Your advertising fees will cover the cost of printing and distribution only.

To help keep the costs even lower and further support local businesses, there are no artwork or design costs – all advert and artwork creation is being done ‘in-house’.  Of course, you are absolutely welcome to supply your own artwork, just contact Jason to discuss.

Evocative Editorials

To add interest and texture amongst the adverts it would be great to offer the reader a deeper insight into some local food and drink produced in and around the Lyn Valley.

We’ve some incredible foodie businesses out there, so we’re looking for stories about;

  • New and exciting businesses and entrepreneurs
  • Tasty and delicious Home-made delights
  • Local success stories and award-winners
  • Rustic or traditional foodie experiences
  • Farming, harvesting or foraging stories

Or, any other stories that would surprise and delight our readers, and the world beyond.  And if they don’t make it into the booklet, they will certainly make it on to the website and our social media pages.

It would be fantastic to see Lynton & Lynmouth and the surrounding area become Exmoor’s epicentre of food for picnickers, food lovers and gourmands alike!
